Thank you for visiting our website. Legacy Christian Academy offers many opportunities for junior high and high school athletes. At the junior high level students are able to participate in: Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Track,
and off-season strength and conditioning. Our varsity level high school students compete for district and state honors in: Volleyball, Cross Country, Football, Basketball, Softball, Baseball, Track, Tennis, and Golf. We compete in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), Division IV for football and 3A for all other sports.
2007 was very successful for Legacy:
- Our football team was 7-3. We played in our new stadium on the newest mono-filament turf available
- The boys’ cross country team finished 6th in the state and Sarah Lewis was first overall for all 2A girls.
- The volleyball team made the playoffs and participated in the Area round in 2A
- The basketball teams also made the playoffs, with the girls playing in the Bi-District round and the boys playing in the Area round of the playoffs.
- The boys’ golf team placed 2nd in our district and Brittainy Barina finished 4th in the state.
- The boys’ tennis team placed 3rd in the state and Taylor Thrash finished 2nd overall
- The boys’ track team placed 2nd in the regional meet and 4th in state.
- Our softball team made the playoffs and participated in the Bi-District round.
- Our baseball team was the undefeated District Champion and was the state runner-up in 2A.
We are very excited about our second gym. Construction is underway with a completion date of October or November of 2008. This construction will also include new parking for volleyball, football, basketball and baseball.
We are very thankful and humbled with the success God has given to us. We believe that athletics is very important in the overall education of a student. It is our goal to produce strong leaders with Biblical convictions for tomorrow.
