Lower School

We believe God has created each child with unique and precious gifts.  Our goal is to partner with parents to help them grow physically, spiritually, intellectually, socially and emotionally.

Our Lower School provides excellent academics in an environment where students are loved.  A Biblical Worldview, God’s plan and purpose, is woven throughout the curriculum.   Classroom curriculum includes phonics-based literacy, mathematics, science, history, and Bible.  Students also have the opportunity to grow by participating in enrichment classes that include Spanish, technology, music, art, and physical education.  Sixth grade students are able to extend their unique gifts by enrolling in our award winning choir and band programs.

Lower School meets weekly for age appropriate chapel services.    Students lead in pledges and prayer.  Worship is a blend of praise songs and hymns, followed by a Bible story that relates to a monthly character quality.  Students learn to apply Godly character traits to their own lives through relevant and exciting stories and activities.  Additionally, each character quality is introduced at the beginning of the month through a skit led by 6^th grade drama team students.

Partnering with our Legacy families is very important to the success of our learning community.  With the support of our Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) everyone is encouraged to participate in the following events annually:

• Colonial Day
• Grandparent’s Day
• Talent Show
• 4^th Grade Austin/San Antonio trip
• 6^th Grade trip
• Field Day
• Kindergarten Graduation

We recognize Legacy Christian Academy’s Lower School is the foundation for preparing our students for Upper School, college, and for life.
