We are proud to announce that one of our own students, senior Andrew Ridge, has been awarded with the honor of Eagle Scout. After hours of hard work and years of dedication, he completed his final project to receive this rank. Andrew oversaw the construction of a prayer walk located at the church that sponsors his troop.

The 1-1/2 mile long trail features eleven prayer stations, each comprising a patio, two benches and QR code signage. The site-specific QR codes allow visitors to link to the church's webpage for a devotional unique to each site. Andrew managed 25 volunteer workers who invested a total of over 300 man hours to the project. This project is inspirational because of the challenges he faced and the perseverance it required.

“It was a long and difficult process, but it was a worthwhile endeavor, and I am relieved that it is finished, ” comments Andrew.

This fall, Andrew hopes to attend UTD and study business management. He is excited for the opportunities that will arise because of his status as Eagle Scout. Legacy is proud of his achievement and is honored to have a student like Andrew, who is diligent and keeps his faith in hard work.
