The girls' varsity basketball team finished their season last Friday in a playoff game against All Saints, with a 13-14 record. They came out 3rd in district and made it to playoffs this year after not making it last year. Qualifying for playoffs was a huge achievement for such a young team as most of the girls were sophomores and freshmen. The girls are excited to continue this upward momentum into next season. It was hard to say goodbye to seniors, Katie Paxton, Payton Adyelott, Davi Mask, and Kristin Guzak; they will be missed greatly next year. Senior, Katie Paxton, says, “I had such an amazing time playing this season. I'll never forget the memories we made together as a team and can't wait to come back next year and see how they've grown”.

Looking forward to next year, sophomores and leading scorers, Zoe Montes, Tatum Ewing, and Anne White, are all ready to step up and lead the team. We are so proud of how the girls represented Legacy Christian Academy this season!

When reflecting on the girls season, Coach Harris, recalled the famous words of Dr. Seuss, “Don't cry because its over, smile because it happened.” On a more serious note, he comments, “Your team becomes your family, the ball becomes your best friend, the court becomes your home and the game becomes your life.”
