LSO, Ladies Bible Study, and other Legacy families gathered and delivered baskets to over 40 elderly residents in a Buckner community just in time for Thanksgiving!
“Meals on Wheels are not available to these families over Thanksgiving, so this is the perfect opportunity to serve them,” shared Shane Krotz, Outreach Coordinator.
Each bag contained traditional Thanksgiving dry goods, including mash potatoes, stuffing, yams, cranberry sauce, & peanut brittle. Along with the bags, residents received a $25 giftcard to Kroger so that they could purchase a turkey and pie.
“The Buckner leaders praised God for Legacy's involvement in their community,” commented one LCA parent, “They realize they are not conveniently located and so appreciate the support.”
