Closure Policies
  1. In the event of an entire school closure initiated by the administration, the following will occur:
  • The entire campus will be deeply cleaned and disinfected. 
  • All students and faculty will participate in the Distance Learning program.  
  • The Director of Health Services will notify the Denton County Public Health Department.
  • Recommendations will be communicated to the head of school and Principals per the Director of Health Services.   
  • The length of closure will be determined by the number of cases and current CDC/Public Health recommendations.
  1. In the event of division(s) closure initiated by the administration, the following will occur:
  • The impacted division will be deeply cleaned and disinfected. 
  • Impacted Division students and faculty will participate in Distance Learning program.  
  • The Director of Health Services will notify the Denton County Public Health Department.  
  • Recommendations will be communicated to the head of school and principals per the Director of Health Services. 
  • The length of closure will be determined by the number of cases and current CDC/Public Health recommendations. 
  • Non-affected divisions will remain open. COVID-19 preventative procedures will continue including: 
  • Temperatures obtained from students, faculty, and staff prior to entering the building. 
  • If an executive order requiring face coverings exists, Legacy students, faculty, and staff will abide by this order.  If no executive order is in place, face coverings will be required for students, faculty, and staff in hallways, in common areas as well as when physical distancing is not possible and/or in accordance with the current Operating Modalities restriction level. Students with no fever but exhibiting severe allergy symptoms may be asked to wear a face-covering while in the classroom. Any family/student is welcome to wear a face-covering more often if they desire to do so.
  • Students, faculty, and staff will wash hands or use hand sanitizer prior to entering the classroom and between classes.
