Legacy Partners with Small World

For the second consecutive year, Legacy will partner with Small World to spread Christmas joy. Small World began in 1996 when former FISD teacher, Thamara DeLeon, recognized a need and decided to act. On it's website, It's a Small World with Love, the charity's full name, describes their mission as “assist[ing] struggling families, focusing especially on the needs of children. To fulfill our mission, Small World is committed to addressing the void in students' daily needs such as food, clothing and emergency funds.”

Legacy Christian Academy has always prioritized serving others, whether it is locally or globally, so it only seemed natural to partner with our amazing friends at FISD and Small World.

Parents are encouraged to stop by the south or north campus office with their own children and select an ornament off the tree. “What a wonderful opportunity for our students to participate with their families in providing gifts and realizing there are those in need in our own backyard,” shared Jennie May, LCA parent & project co-chair. All gifts should be returned UNWRAPPED to the offices no later than December 3.

Deanna Carpenter, Associate Head for Development, summed up LCA's involvement perfectly, stating, “We are honored to work alongside FISD to help provide Christmas gifts to students and their families who, without Small World project, might not otherwise have a Christmas.”
