Recently Denton County Sheriff, Will Travis, received a special letter. It was from a Frisco fourth grader named Gracie. Here is the content of that letter.
“Hi, my name is Gracie. I am 9 years old. I go to school at Legacy Christian Academy, Frisco, TX. in Miss Brubaker's Class in 4th grade.
We're doing a county project and everyone gets their own county to write about. I picked Denton County.
I love riding horses! It's one of my hobbies if you're wondering. I would love to meet you someday.
I also have one question. Can you arrest someone just because (you) want to? Please write back.

Sincerely,
Gracie, 9″

Well the sheriff couldn't let little Gracie wonder about such an important question so he decided to hand deliver a response to Gracie at her school and answer other questions from her classmates.

By the way, the answer was “No. The sheriff can't arrest someone just because they want to.” And that is good news for all of us.
