Tell us about your family & life prior to coming to Legacy.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Richard. We will have been married for 19 years TOMORROW – on Sept. 23. We have one son, Will, who is a junior at LCA. We have been part of the LCA family since Will was in Kindergarten and we truly LOVE our school!!!!

Until this year I was a stay at home mom and then a substitute teacher for the past 6 years. I have been an active volunteer at LCA. I received my bachelors degree from Texas Woman's University in Marketing and Fashion Merchandising. I felt the Lord leading me to get my teaching certification. I recently went back to school to get my teaching certificate in EC-6 Generalist along with my ESL and Special Education certification.

What most excites you about teaching at Legacy?

I feel truly blessed to be a part of the LCA faculty! I can't imagine being anywhere else. My favorite things about my job are the kids and teaching them about God's love through Bible every day. They amaze me daily with how much they are learning. They bring me such joy! I love to hear their stories and seeing them light up when they are learning! Most of all, I love all of their hugs and getting visits from the students who I have subbed for in the past.

What else should we know about you?
23 years ago, when Richard and I went to get our marriage license, I found out that I was born in Butler County… Also, my favorite place to visit with my family is Disney. I think that it really is the happiest place on earth. 🙂 I'm still a kid a heart!
