The Lady Eagles Varsity Basketball team finished a great season by qualifying for the playoffs for their fifth consecutive year. In addition to playing well in the district and regular season games, the Lady Eagles earned a second place finish at the Mckinney Christian Tournament, three All-District selections, a Bi-District championship and participation in the TAPPS 4A North Super Regional.

“We embraced the move up to 4A and established ourselves as a team on the rise. The future is bright and the best is yet to come. We have to express our appreciation to the LCA family for supporting us on this ride,” comments Head Coach, Dorian Harris.

Sophomore, Lauren Foster, was named 1st Team All-District, and senior, Kristen Smith, was named 2nd Team All-District for the season. Madeline Henry received Honorable Mention.

“My senior season was the best season I have had,” notes Smith. “The relationship we have as a team is so strong, and I am so grateful that I had the privilege to play for my coaches and with my teammates, and I will always consider them my family.”

As the team looks forward to next season, Foster says, “I am excited about how well we did this year considering it was our first year in 4A. We will build on that and continue to grow by putting in hard work and determination and our coaches continuing to breathe life into us.”
