The City of Frisco and its city council members honored the state champion Lady Eagles Varsity Golf Team during its most recent council session, proclaiming June 7, 2016 as “Legacy Christian Academy Varsity Girls Golf Team Day.”

This proclamation, delivered by Frisco's Mayor Maso in front of an auditorium packed with Frisco citizens and leaders, encouraged all Frisco citizens to congratulate the varsity girls golf team and its coach, Darcy Boyd, for their dedication, determination, and outstanding 2016 golf season. Coach Darcy Boyd and graduated senior, Lacy Sheldon, were both given an opportunity to share about the team, Grace Pettijohn's individual champion finish, the team's three-peat accomplishment since the 2014 season, and to encourage Frisco citizens to “work on their golf game!” City council member, Jeff Chaney, who helped present the proclamation, even asked the team to help him improve his golf game!

Accepting the proclamation were 2016 Varsity Golf coach Darcy Boyd, Seniors Lauren Pettijohn and Lacy Sheldon, Junior McKenzie Cady, and Sophomores Grace Pettijohn and Ally Roden.
