We are excited to announce that Mrs. Debbie Spencer will be joining the Upper School Science Team for 2016-2017, where she will teach Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Forensics.

Debbie graduated with her B.A. in Chemistry/Pre-Med from Baylor University and has been teaching science for over 20 years. Before she ventured into education, Debbie worked for the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences (Dallas Crime Lab) for approximately 8 years as a Trace Evidence Analyst and Expert Witness and was trained in forensics at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA. “My love for teaching began when I taught Crime Scene Search classes for the Dallas Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety,” comments Debbie. Her previous teaching experience includes teaching high school science at Grace Academy of Dallas, Richardson Home School Association, Faith Lutheran, and Carrollton Christian.

Debbie has been married to her husband Greg for 32 years and has 3 daughters, ages 22, 24, and 26. She is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and has a little white dog named Romo.

“I am so excited to join the Legacy team,” Debbie shares. “I love teaching students about the creativity and complexity of God's creation, and look forward to doing so here at Legacy.”
