Congratulations are in order for the Screaming Eagle Band! This past Saturday, Aubrey High School hosted the annual Aubrey Marching Contest with 20 schools participating ranging from 1A-4A, public schools. Legacy was the smallest band and only private school at the competition. While Legacy may have been seen as the underdog, results showed quite the opposite.

Led by senior Drum Major, Jacob Crawford, The Screaming Eagles competed in prelims and received 6th place in their class. All in all, Legacy came in 9th place out of 20 teams. During finals, Jacob Crawford was awarded Outstanding Drum Major. If that isn't enough of an award, he was up against multiple drum majors for each competing school. What a well-deserved award, Jacob!

The Legacy Color Guard also preformed well and won Outstanding Color Guard for their division. Out of 20 schools in the overall category, Legacy Color Guard danced away with 3rd place. We are so proud of how hard everyone has been working. Keep it up Eagles!

“I'm so proud of our students and staff! We continue to get better every time we perform. Thank you to all the parents that helped to make Saturday run smoothly.”
