Congratulations to our Legacy Robotics Team on their outstanding display at the COCO BEST Robotics Competition last Saturday. The team was awarded first place out of fifty schools for their booth. It took four weeks to construct and was under the supervision of senior, Jacob Crawford. To go along with the competition's theme of farming, the booth was an eight-foot-by-eight-foot barn. Robotics Team member, Kylee Shea, says they “are very proud of this accomplishment.”

Overall, the team placed ninth in the semi-finals, and their robot placed twelfth. About this competition, president, Caroline Hidalgo said, “[it] was really tough, but I think all of us learned a lot about each different discipline that went into successfully competing against some really talented schools.”

We are thrilled for our Legacy Robotics Team and proud of their accomplishments!

Legacy staff member and sponsor, Mr. Preble commented,

“The robotics club offers students the opportunity to grow in many ways. A student can strengthen their resume while having fun and learning too.”
