Anne Melville-Blackburn Joins Legacy as Upper School Fine Arts Teacher

Meet Anne Melville-Blackburn, Legacy’s new Upper School Fine Arts Teacher. Anne is a visual artist and experienced ballet dancer with a B.A. in Art and Performance from the University of Texas at Dallas. She comes to Legacy from Canyon Creek Christian Academy, where she taught K–12 Visual Art.

With the addition of Mrs. Blackburn to the fine arts faculty, Legacy art students will have increased opportunities to watch an artist in action. I am excited for Legacy art students to meet and work with Mrs. Blackburn. As an artist who is actively and passionately pursuing opportunities to expand her craft, she is a wonderful example of lifelong learning. –Chris Keyes

Anne enjoys helping students discover and develop their artistic talents. One of her favorite aspects of teaching is “helping students incorporate a love of art as a form of worship into their lives, even if it's not a career path for them.”

Join us in welcoming Anne, and view her artwork on her online gallery:

Legacy Christian Academy is Frisco's only Pre-K through 12 Christian school committed to educating students in a college preparatory environment balanced in academics, athletics, and fine arts--all within the context of a biblical worldview.
