ATSSB

To start the year off, we had 6 make the Middle School ATSSB Region Band (public school) and 6 High Schoolers make the ATSSB Region Band. From there, Jace Edgmon and Caleb Chambers advanced to the Area Auditions for North Texas. After Area Auditions, Caleb Chambers advanced to the ATSSB 4A Allstate Band. The top chairs in each region advanced to one of the five area auditions and only 280 of these 2,288 students make it to the All-State Band that is held in San Antonio, February 14th-17th. Upon arriving at All-State, Caleb auditioned for chair placement and received 1st Chair Tuba in the ATSSB 4A All-State Band! Congratulations Caleb! We are proud of you

TPSMEA MIDDLE SCHOOL HONOR BAND AND HIGH SCHOOL REGION BAND

On February 23rd and 24th, we had 8 Screamin' Eagle Band middle school and 4 high school band students perform in the TPSMEA Middle School Honor Band and High School Region Band. They had a great time learning music and performed a great concert. We were blessed to have a famous composer working with the high school band, Mr. William Owens. Our bands have played several of his pieces, at the beginner, middle and high school band level.

TPSMEA SOLO AND ENSEMBLE

On March 3rd, 18 Screamin' Eagle band students performed solos at the TPSMEA Solo and Ensemble contest held at the Greenhill School in Addison. These fine young musicians worked extremely hard on a solo and performed it in front of a judge for a rating. We had 17 Superior ratings and one Excellent rating. We are so proud of these students and their hard work to excel on their instruments.
