My Family

I have been teaching at LCA since 2019 but we have been an LCA family since 2013. I have (2) beautiful daughters – Kennedy(`25) & Ashby(`27). Colby and I got married in 2022 and I gained (3) great bonus children and an adorable mini golden doodle (Beatrice). In our free time, Colby and I love to golf and go to concerts, we enjoy traveling as a family, as well as playing board games with the kids (or “forced family fun” as the kids like to call it).

What is your favorite part of the school day?

My favorite part of the school day is right at 8:00 am when the students start coming into my classroom. I love their warm hugs, high fives, and morning chats about whatever is on their mind from when I last saw them. I also love when past students pop by to say hi and catch up. Their bright smiles, infectious laugh, and high energy is such a treat and is truly the highlight of my school day!

What is your favorite scripture and why?

Proverbs 31:25 – “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” I love this verse because it is a daily reminder that when I am clothed with strength and dignity, with my head held high by the love and grace of Christ, I can’t help but replace worry with laughter and fear with a confident smile. No matter what I may face today or tomorrow, I have a future and a hope in Him.
