Admissions Team Eager to Host Evening Event
On October 23 from 7-8pm, Legacy will host its first-ever Sneak-a-Peek for prospective families with children entering pre-school through 8th grade. “Throughout last year we had requests for an evening event for parents who work, so we knew we needed to add something this year,” shared Randi Allen, intermediate and upper school admissions coordinator. The challenge was to create something of value for prospective families that wasn't a sit-and-listen type of event.
To answer that challenge, they developed a focused, one-hour event that allows parents to see the south campus and interact with a handful of teachers and school leaders. Parents will begin in the chapel for a brief introduction to Legacy, before visiting the science laboratories upstairs. From there, the group will be divided into pre-school, lower school, and intermediate school tours that include classroom visits and programmatic overviews. All groups will return to the chapel, where principals and athletics, fine arts, & admissions personnel will be available to visit individually with families.
“We want parents to catch a glimpse of life at Legacy in an authentic way, and we think the Sneak-a-Peek will do just that,” said Becky Rogers, early education and lower school admissions coordinator.
