We recently visited with senior Grace McKeehan, an accomplished rock climber who currently holds both a national record and international title. As a 9-year Legacy student, she loves her teachers and the relationships they have with her in and outside of class. Listen and read below to learn more about a truly wonderful young lady!
Athlete: Grace McKeehan, World Champion Climber
Goals: Grace is working through her classes and deciding the path that she should take for her college studies after she graduates from Legacy. SMU and Wake Forest are the two schools she is most interested in and plans to continue climbing.
Athletics: At Youth World's Climbing this year she won the Overall World Champion for Females 16-17!
Years at Legacy: Grace has attended Legacy since the 4th Grade. She loves being able to talk and have a relationship with her teachers. Mr. Branch has influenced her love of science, and Mrs. Krotz has inspired her to pursue Spanish in college.
Walk with Christ: Christ influences Grace's life in so many ways. She knows through reading the scripture that Christ has lead her to serve through LSO and helped her to recognize His hand in her life.
Passionate about: Grace is passionate about art, climbing and school. Art is relaxing, and she loves serving with LSO as well!
How does she hope to be remembered? School can be overwhelming, but “Embrace the Struggle” as Mr. Heaton would say.
