Middle School at Legacy Christian Academy

We will know your child, love your child, and prepare your child.

The Bridge

At Legacy Christian Academy, we take a unique approach to middle school by building a peer and mentor support system into the experience. Our middle school, also known as The Bridge, isn’t just about academics with a biblical worldview that prepare students for high school and college; it’s also about giving them the solid footing needed to tackle life and relationships with confidence. Below, you’ll find a brief overview of what we offer, including:

Ignite at LCA

Ignite is our high-energy two-day conference for middle school students which kicks off the school year each year. This conference allows for our middle school students to gather together in worship and faith. Here your child isn't just academically challenged – they are ignited with passion, rooted in faith, and surrounded by a community that loves them and equips them to embrace their God-given purpose with boldness and conviction.

School Culture

“The Bridge” is Legacy’s Middle School program designed to support students as they navigate grades 5-8, focusing on five pillars: knowledge and wisdom, social and emotional growth, community and connection, spiritual and leadership development, and service

  • Meaningful connections

Students are placed into one of four Houses, competing in friendly events. Weekly Squad meetings within each House provide mentorship and foster leadership through cross-grade.

  • Academic growth

Students are encouraged to excel academically, with honors programs for advanced learners and the WIN program for those needing extra support.

  • Leadership and Service

Students grow as leaders, serving their peers and the community through roles in Houses and mission trips like Helping Hands to Houston.

  • Life Skils

The LCA YOU program teaches essential life skills such as tech safety, nutrition, financial management, and conflict resolution, preparing students for the future.

Academic Offerings

At LCA, we recognize that each student is uniquely gifted with different strengths and abilities and offer individualized instruction accordingly. Our What-I-Need (WIN) program gives students a chance to close any academic gaps, while our honors courses allow students to explore content at a more rigorous pace and depth of complexity.

A well-rounded education includes creative mediums and the freedom to pursue personal interests. Our middle school students explore fine arts through band, digital art and design, studio art, theater production, and vocal arts. Spanish provides a comprehensive introduction to a different language, literature, culture, and worldview.

Middle School student programming supplements our Bridge pillars. Chapel allows students to hear God’s word, worship together, and be inspired to know, love, and obey Jesus Christ. Community time is incorporated into the daily schedule, giving students time for devotions and curated conversations. Our IGNITE event kicks off each school year by encouraging our students to accept Christ’s invitation to know Him, and to ignite their faith by living with purpose.

At Legacy Christian, we focus on sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition by using athletics to mold student character to reflect the character of Christ. We begin coaching at lower levels, with interscholastic sports beginning in 7th grade: basketball, cheer, cross country, football, soccer, sporting clays, swimming, and track. Legacy competes in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools Class 5A.
