Five Legacy seniors had an opportunity to answer that question today as they attended Dallas Baptist University's Christian Leadership Institute, which is designed to provide student leaders an opportunity to explore the concept of leadership in their lives. Students participated in interactive learning experiences and attended breakout sessions focused on core leadership concepts.
“After one session, the students were seated on the floor listening to a Japanese student share her experience as a Christian in her home country,” shared Mrs. Grubbs, adjunct faculty member, “not only was her story inspiring to me, but you could almost see our students emboldened by her courage.”
Sami Saucedo said, “The need to be a relevant leader in our Global climate was a refreshing reminder of what I know to be true.”
Surrounded by other Christian high school students from around the state, Caleb Palmer reflected, “the opportunity to discuss what being a Christian leader means to us with other students was encouraging.”
