LCA hosted 14 schools with over 250 entries for the TPSMEA Solo & Ensemble Festival on Saturday, February 21.
51 Legacy students participated in the event with an overwhelming 46 students receiving a Division I-Superior rating on a solo or ensemble.
At the most difficult level, known as Class 1, 20 LCA students received a Division1-Superior rating on their solo or ensemble. These students qualified for and will advance to the TPSMEA State Solo & Ensemble Festival held in Houston on April 9 & 10 in conjunction with the TPSMEA Concert & Sight Reading Festival.
“I am very proud of all the Legacy students who took the time to prepare for this event and performed with excellence,” commented Sandra Clark, LCA Fine Arts Director and Choral Director.
Legacy offers students a college preparatory education; central to that education is fine arts. 100% of students in pre-K through grade 10 participate in a fine arts course, and many upper classmen continue with their fine art study. To read learn more about Legacy's fine art program click here.
