The Legacy Christian Academy Winter Guard competed at their first 2016 North Texas Colorguard Association (NTCA) contest at Bowie HS this Saturday. The guard competed against 20 teams in their classification and earned 1st place with a score of 88.6! Eclipsing the competition with a 7.4 point lead, the team has been promoted to the next classification and will now compete in the Regional A class for the remainder of their season.

I'm so proud of this group of girls! Earning first in our class and bumping a division are huge victories, especially when half of our guard have never even performed in a winter guard show before. We are all excited to compete in the Regional A class and anticipate the more challenging competition.
–Mai-Linh Lillard, Captain

The Legacy Winter Guard will perform their show entitled Finding Home next on February 19th at Centennial HS and then at Wakeland HS on February 27th.

I am really proud of the girls! Today was a day of many firsts – it was our first show of 2016, it was the first winter guard performance for several of our students, and we won first place! We still have a lot of work to do, and we are excited to perform in a higher classification. For more information about our contests you can check out
