My Family
I was born and raised in California. The Sierra Nevada mountains were where I loved to be. I met my husband at a college youth group. After we married and had our son, I went back to school to become a teacher. I taught second grade at a great Christian school in San Juan Capistrano and was so happy to have a teacher from that school suggest that I come check out Legacy when we moved to Texas. I am so glad she did!! I have loved being part of Legacy both as a teacher and a parent. Our son graduated from Legacy and is now a mechanical engineer. After graduating from Legacy, and then the UTD, he now lives in Richardson and works in McKinney. I am so glad that he has stayed near home so we can see each other regularly.
Why do you choose to work at Legacy?
I love being able to help students discover the wonders of God and his creation though science.
What is your favorite scripture? Why?
My favorite scripture is Colossians 1:16a “For in him all things were created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible.” This verse points to the focus of what I do here at Legacy in the science lab.
