Parent Teacher Fellowship

Fellowship. Community. Service.
Legacy Christian Academy's Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) is the cornerstone of volunteer support, parent ministries, and teacher appreciation within the school community. As the primary volunteer organization for the school, PTF plays a vital role in fostering a sense of community, collaboration, and support among parents, teachers, and staff.
Membership:
One of the distinguishing features of the PTF is its inclusive nature. All parents and grandparents of Legacy Christian Academy are automatically members of the PTF, without any membership dues or fees. This inclusivity underscores the school's commitment to creating a united and supportive environment for everyone involved in the educational journey of their children.
Volunteer Support:
PTF is a hub for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers who contribute their time, skills, and resources to enhance the overall school experience. Whether it's organizing school events, helping with classroom activities, or assisting with various school initiatives, PTF members actively engage in enriching the educational environment for all students.
Parent Ministries:
PTF recognizes the importance of nurturing not only the academic but also the spiritual and emotional growth of students. They facilitate parent ministries that offer support, guidance, and fellowship to parents as they navigate the challenges and joys of parenthood. These ministries often include Prayer Walks, Bible studies, and social events that foster connections among parents and provide valuable insights into parenting.
Teacher Appreciation:
One of the most cherished roles of PTF is expressing gratitude and appreciation to the dedicated teachers and staff at Legacy Christian Academy. This is achieved through various initiatives, including the provision of monthly Sonic drinks, staff in-service lunches, and even Christmas bonuses for our worthy staff. The generosity of our community shines through in these acts of kindness, recognizing the hard work and dedication of the educators who shape the lives of our children.
PTF Funding and the “Eagle's Nest” Spirit Shop:
A critical aspect of PTF's operation is funding, which largely comes from the school's Spirit Shop known as the “Eagle's Nest.” This shop not only serves as a source of pride for the school but also as a significant source of revenue for the PTF. All proceeds from purchases made at the Eagle's Nest are channeled directly into the PTF, benefiting the school as a whole. This unique funding model allows PTF to support a wide range of activities and initiatives that enrich the school experience.
In summary, Legacy Christian Academy's Parent Teacher Fellowship is a thriving organization that embodies the spirit of unity and support within the school community. Through volunteerism, parent ministries, and teacher appreciation, PTF plays a vital role in enhancing the educational journey of students and strengthening the bonds among parents, teachers, and staff.
