TJ Tomeny Golf Classic

A Legacy Tradition

The Legacy Classic Golf Tournament is named in TJ Tomeny’s honor because he personified the traits that Legacy seeks to instill in its students. TJ always displayed Christ-like character, perseverance, academic excellence, strong athletic ability and most of all, a great attitude. TJ was a gifted athlete, so naming the golf tournament in his honor captured perfectly the many God-given gifts TJ was blessed with.

All of the proceeds from the TJ Tomeny Legacy Classic go directly toward the Indexed Tuition Program at LCA which allows students the opportunity to have a Christ-centered education by determining a tuition range based on each family's unique financial position. The students who receive indexed tuition will always be told TJ’s story to inspire them to do their best.

Thomas Joseph Tomeny IV was born on February 15, 1991, in Rockwall, Texas. TJ went to be with the Lord September 9, 2005, after a 3 1/2 year struggle with a brain tumor. While he battled his disease, he never lost his sense of humor or his desire for excellence.
