“For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” – Psalm 100:5 [ESV]
Dear LCA Families:
My heart was so full last Thursday evening when we gathered as a community at the Comerica Center in Frisco to celebrate God’s faithfulness over the last 25 years. As the biggest event in Legacy history, with over 1800 in attendance, it truly was a special evening. Thank you for taking the time to attend. For those who were unable to attend, we will be curating material to share over the remainder of this 25th anniversary year. Please watch the blogs, emails, and social media posts for special moments from an unforgettable evening. Please share social media posts on your network to help share the joy of the evening and being a part of such a meaningful community like LCA.
An event of this magnitude requires a complete community effort and I wish to thank some people who went the extra mile. All of our administrative team played a critical role in the vision development and execution plan beginning over a year ago. Our event coordinator, Mrs. Julie Childs, was the lead planner and words can not adequately express our appreciation for her outstanding contribution. We are thankful for her excellent leadership. She worked with a committee of community leaders from past and present to make the LCA Museum experience remarkable. It was a community effort.
Some highlight moments include: 1) having all of our former heads of school and board chairs together for the first time, 2) Connecting past leaders with current leaders and staff which led to rich conversations, 3) The alumni/community choir of over 60 people was fantastic and saw alumni from the Class of 2005 to the Class of 2020. They came from all over the country to return. Wow!, 4) Steven Curtis Chapman's connection and his music's themes were powerful. He did an amazing job relating to the Legacy “Why” and the purpose of our gathering.
We will continue to celebrate for the remainder of this school year. God has been so faithful, and we should use the truth of His promises to catapult us to the next 25 years and beyond to fulfill our mission of building strong leaders with biblical convictions!
As I close, we would love to hear your feedback on the evening. What made it special for you? What impacted you the most, and why? Please take the time to share at communications@legacyca.com. We would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
