It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of our esteemed Head Girls’ Basketball Coach, Lynn Meger, from Legacy Christian Academy. After years of dedicated service to our school and our athletes, Coach Meger has made the decision to hang up her whistle and embark on a new chapter of life, filled with cherished moments with her grandchildren and exciting adventures with friends. As we bid farewell to Coach Meger, we reflect on the incredible impact she has had on our basketball program and our entire LCA community.
Throughout her tenure at Legacy, Coach Meger’s leadership has been nothing short of remarkable. With an impressive milestone of 500 wins as a varsity girls’ coach achieved on November 15, 2023, Coach Meger has left an indelible mark on the court. Under her guidance, our girls’ basketball program has flourished, consistently achieving success and making memorable playoff runs, including the recent 2023-24 season.
Yet, beyond the wins and accolades, Coach Meger’s legacy is defined by the profound influence she has had on those around her. As a Christ-centered leader, she has
exemplified unwavering dedication, genuine enthusiasm, and a contagious love for both her players and the game. Her coaching style is marked by a perfect balance of competitiveness and compassion, instilling not only athletic skills but also invaluable life lessons in her players.
To Coach Meger and her husband Dave, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for their steadfast commitment to Legacy Christian Academy. The impact of Coach Meger’s leadership will continue to resonate within our school community for years to come. While we bid farewell to Coach Meger as our head coach, we know that she will forever remain an integral part of our Eagle family.
