Legacy Christian Academy is thrilled to announce the addition of Eunice Nakamura to its Board of Trustees. Eunice is a renowned lawyer with an impressive track record in her field. She currently serves as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., and oversees the Legal, Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Compliance functions nationally. Eunice has also served as Vice President of Legal for G6 Hospitality LLC and as counsel for the Texas Rangers. Her expertise and experience in the legal field will be invaluable to LCA as it continues to grow and serve its students and community.

Eunice's dedication to LCA runs deeper than just her professional experience. She and her husband, Dice, have chosen LCA for their son, Chayse (`32), because they believe in the school's mission to shape future leaders who are rooted in Biblical truth. In Nakamura's own words, “We know LCA is a place where the teachers and staff pour into him with a Biblical view, and we want him to be able to take that nurturing and pour into others that God places in his life, now and in the future.” This commitment to raising the next generation of leaders who are grounded in their faith is at the core of LCA's mission, and Eunice's dedication to that mission is inspiring.

She lives in Frisco with her husband Dice and son Chayse (`32), and is a travel, coffee, food, and sports enthusiast. Eunice and Dice can frequently be found in the stands cheering on Chayse as he plays select baseball year-round. At LCA, Eunice serves on the advisory council for the Professional Schools Program, and her husband loves to serve as a watchman with the Eagle Eyes program.

When Eunice is not practicing law, she is actively involved in her community and church. She serves as pro bono counsel for her church, Preston Trail Community Church in Frisco, and works closely with its leadership to provide legal advice and counsel on various matters. She is also passionate about mentoring the next generation of lawyers and has served in various capacities on the board of the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Asian American Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Foundation, and the Dallas Women Lawyers Foundation, as well as the Dallas Bar Association Corporate Counsel Section.

Eunice is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences around the country on various legal topics. She has been recognized by the Association of Corporate Counsel, D Magazine as Outstanding In-House Counsel, The Texas Minority Counsel Program, and named to the Lawyers of Color’s “Hotlist.” Eunice's achievements in her professional life are a testament to her dedication, work ethic, and leadership skills.

Brad Brenneman, Chairman of the LCA Board of Trustees, expressed his excitement about Eunice's addition to the board, saying, “We are grateful that Eunice has committed to serve LCA as a trustee. She and Dice have been active in our community as parents and in volunteer roles. Besides being wholeheartedly committed to our mission and a devoted follower of Jesus, Eunice will provide unique, relevant and valuable legal wisdom to our Trustees based on her work as general counsel for a large not-for-profit organization and her volunteer legal counsel to the leaders at their local church. We will benefit from Eunice’s perspective as we further discern and follow God’s will for LCA in the years ahead while remaining steadfast to our mission.”

Eunice herself is excited to join the LCA Board of Trustees and help shape the future of the school. “LCA serves a critical role and need in shaping future generations that understand Biblical truth and convictions, and it is a great honor and privilege to play a small part in driving that Mission forward,” she said.

As LCA continues to grow and serve its students and community, it is clear that Eunice's expertise and dedication to the school's mission will be invaluable. Her passion for mentoring the next generation of leaders and commitment to her faith will inspire and motivate those around her. The Legacy Christian Academy community is excited to welcome Eunice Nakamura to its Board of Trustees.
