Brooke Levassar

Junior Varsity Cheer

Legacy is thrilled to have Brooke Levassar as part of the cheer coaching program for the third year in a row. This is her second year coaching the JV team and she adores spending time with the girls on her squad. Watching them grow not only as cheerleaders, but, more importantly, as young ladies throughout each year is one of the most rewarding aspects of her coaching position.

Brooke has a true passion for physical fitness and incorporates that every chance she gets. When she isn’t coaching at Legacy, you can find her coaching at North Plano CrossFit at the Shops at Legacy. She enjoys challenging people and gets a sense of satisfaction when she sees her athletes (both at cheer and CrossFit) develop and accomplish things they didn’t think they could do.

Brooke has been married to her husband, Guy, for a sweet sixteen years. They have two daughters, Ava, who is a sophomore and Piper is in the sixth grade. They are proud to have been a Legacy family for the past ten years. When Brooke isn’t busy coaching, she enjoys spending time with her family. Her favorite thing to do is cook a big dinner, kick back, and relax at home while watching a movie together.

Sherry Hines

Middle School Cheer

We are happy to have Sherry Hines begin her second year of coaching Middle School Cheer here at Legacy. Despite having a dance background in high school, she went on to cheer for the Longhorns at the University of Texas in Austin. It was a thrill for her to cheer on the sidelines at UT basketball and football games as well as travel to bowl games throughout the country.

In her early 20’s, Sherry worked for Universal Dance Association (UDA) as a Camp Director and Dance Instructor. She worked at various universities across the country mentoring the many cheer and dance teams who attend these summer skills camps. She has also been a tryout judge for dance and pom squads at both the collegiate and high school levels throughout Texas.

When reflecting on her squad, Sherry said, “My 7th and 8th grade cheerleaders are an absolute joy in my life. Not only are they so much fun but they are passionate, driven, hard workers who are incredibly polite, respectful and caring. Each one of them says thank you every time they leave practice and that just fills my heart.”

Sherry’s husband, Stephen, has been keeping her laughing for nineteen years. Their daughter Madeleine started at LCA nearly seven years ago and is now in sixth grade. Madeleine’s little brother Preston just started Kidndergarten. They have been residents of Frisco for nearly twenty years. They attend First Baptist Frisco together with many other Legacy families.
