We are excited to announce that Mrs. Courtney Jennings is joining the Legacy family as our new Early Education Principal/Director of Instructional Innovation. She is currently serving as Assistant Principal of the Early Childhood School in Frisco ISD. She has 17 years of experience as an elementary school teacher, assistant principal, instructional coach and summer school principal in the Frisco and Coppell public school districts. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern State University and her Master's in Elementary Administration from the University of North Texas.

When asked to comment on her new challenge, Mrs. Jennings said

I am thrilled to serve the families at Legacy Christian Academy and excited about the innovative ideas Legacy is pursuing.”

Courtney is passionate about working with students, parents and staff and considers it a privilege to be a part of this incredible school. She embraces everyday as an adventure and cherishes the smallest gestures like smiling and saying hello to the students and staff and holding the sweet hand of a child.

I am excited to welcome a talented educator like Mrs. Jennings to the Legacy community. It was clear that she would be a good fit and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that would add value to our school. On her application, she described herself as ‘a servant leader whose goal is to bring glory to God.' She also brings expertise and a fresh perspective regarding curriculum and instruction and will be able to assist our lower and early education faculty in perfecting their teaching methods and utilizing innovative curriculum.” – Bill McGee, Head of School

Courtney will celebrate her 14th wedding anniversary this month with her husband Wes. Wes is also actively involved in education as a teacher and coach at Maus Middle School in Frisco. Together they are raising two active and sports-minded boys, Jackson, a fifth grader and Grayson, who is in the third grade. The Jennings family is actively involved at Parkway Hills Baptist Church in Plano, where Courtney serves as a director of her life group. When they aren't on an athletic field, they enjoy movies, traveling and being silly as a family.
