Volleyball Coach Christy Williams has made the painstaking decision to resign her position after nine faithful years of service at Legacy Christian Academy. Coach Williams has been working on her Masters in Christian Education and feels that the Lord is leading her in a new direction, away from her station at the gym. She is grateful for the parents who trusted her with the development of their girls both on and off the volleyball court.

Coach Williams, in a letter to parents and players, noted

“God's faithfulness in the last 9 years at LCA is overwhelming. I feel like I just finished running one of the best races of my life and crossed the finish line. The Lord has sustained me and equipped me to go onto another race.”

Assistant Athletic Director, Kari Tomeny, said “Christy has given her all to Legacy volleyball. We are grateful for the countless hours of energy and support that Christy has poured into our student athletes and Legacy's volleyball program. It was exciting to watch her grow the volleyball program throughout the nine years that she served so faithfully at LCA. She will be missed and we wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors.”

Coach Williams will be in the gym on Tuesday and Thursday next week from 2:30-4:45, should you want to stop in and wish her well.

The Athletic Department will be conducting a search for the next head coach of Lady Eagles Volleyball. We ask that you continue to lift up the Volleyball program and the new head coach during this transition time.
