Legacy Christian Academy is excited to welcome Bethany McMillon as our Lower School Assistant Principal for the 2022-2023 school year. Mrs. McMillon is already a familiar face in the Lower School as she currently serves as the Librarian in The Hub. She was an instrumental part of the team that managed LCA online learning during COVID. She has varied experience serving at various schools as a classroom teacher, having taught kindergarten, third, and fourth grade.
Mrs. McMillon earned a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University as well as a Master of Arts from Lamar University. Bethany is an avid reader as well as an accomplished writer whose blogs have been featured by the likes of Christian Parenting, the Kindred Mom, and The Joyful Life. She also shares her work on her own website. Her writing is uplifting and encouraging while being rooted in the Word.
“For the last three years,” Bethany said, “it has been an incredible joy to serve as the Lower School Librarian and it is with excitement and enthusiasm I step into the role of Assistant Principal. It will be an honor to serve the students, teachers, staff, and families of LCA in this capacity, as we partner in helping our children grow as Jesus did – in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with both God and man.”
New Lower School Principal Rachel Constantinescu is excited to have Bethany join her team. “Bethany has an infectious spirit for the Lord and a deep love for LCA. As we look ahead, Bethany provides a strong understanding of the history of our school as well as a bright vision for what is to come for our students, parents, and staff. I am so excited to have the opportunity to grow together in our faith and in our leadership.”
Bethany and her husband Jerry have been married since 2005 and have lived in the North Texas area for almost ten years. They have one son, William ('25). Together, they love to watch football (EaglesFight! & Sic 'em Bears!), eat ice cream, and chill with their puppies, Fasbee Jane and Penny. They attend Frisco First Baptist, where Bethany is involved in the Welcome Team and William is an active member of Blue, the Student Ministry.
