This year, Legacy Christian Academy is again offering an opportunity for high school students, teachers, and parents to donate blood through the Carter Blood Drive organization. This is a great opportunity to donate to the local community through an easy donation.

Beginning recently, blood banks have started testing blood donations for the Zika virus. A Zika information sheet is attached below along with the consent forms and Zika permission forms. Due to this, all minor donors are required to have extra paper work in order to be able to donate. 16 year old students will need two forms signed by their parents – The Parental Consent Form as well as the Zika Permission Form for Minors. 17 year old students will only need to turn in the Zika Permission Form for Minors and to show their ID to the front office in order to participate. These forms are also available at the front office. Donors aged 18 and up do not need to submit any forms prior to donation.

Club Med President, Katie Paxton, encourages everyone to donate because “With just one donation, you can save three lives. This is a great way to give back and support the hospitals in our community.”

This is a unique opportunity that Legacy offers and is something you do not want to miss out on! Mark your calendars for November 14, and plan to donate to your local community!
