Legacy Christian Academy hosted a collegiate signing day for five of our senior student-athletes on November 26. Signing a National Letter of Intent represents a milestone for these players and their families as years of hard work and dedication lead to an opportunity to play their sport at the college level.

You can watch the entire video of the signings here.

Matthew Scott

Matthew Scott committed to play baseball at Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas. Matthew has played baseball since the age of seven and is excited to take his love of the game to a college where he recognized the relationships between the coaches and the players. Earlier this year, he threw a no-hitter against Prince of Peace and also earned Second Team All-District.

Koby Ketcher

Koby Ketcher started playing baseball at the age of four. He has committed to play baseball at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. He is a third generation Riverhawk in his family and the NSU baseball program displayed the qualities he was searching for as part of the next step in his baseball career. Koby earned Second Team All District honors as well as Academic All-State honors and served as a captain this year for the Eagles.

Sayers Collins

Sayers Collins committed to play baseball at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas. A gifted pitcher and catcher, Sayers started playing baseball at four years old. In his high school baseball career, Sayers has earned First Team All District, the Cy Young Award for top pitcher and was even named as a pitcher for the Junior Day National event in Washington, DC, where he was one of only six pitchers invited from the south region. ETBU was the perfect fit for Sayers as they will offer him a platform to honor God both on and off the field.

Ryan Thompson

Ryan Thompson, the fourth Eagle baseball player to sign a National Letter of Intent, has chosen to take his baseball talents to Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. During his time at Legacy, Ryan served as captain, was selected as Academic All-State, District MVP, three-time First Team All-District and two-time First Team All-State. Additionally, Ryan was selected by both Major League Baseball and USA Baseball as one of 45 players for the Player Development Pipeline. He has received pre-draft questionnaire packets from four Major League teams.

Zane Williams

Zane Williams started playing lacrosse eight years ago and will bring his strong offensive game to Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. He is a leading scorer at Attack for the Prosper Eagle Varsity Lacrosse Team, one of the most competitive Division 2 programs in the state of Texas. He was recently awarded the Alonzo Rollins Scholarship and accepted into the 3/2 Accelerated Management Program in the prestigious Crummer Graduate School of Business, where he will receive his MBA in five years.
