This morning, Legacy Christian Academy senior golfer, Grace Pettijohn, signed her NCAA National Letter of Intent with Dallas Baptist University in front of family, friends, coaches and classmates who have supported and encouraged her on her journey to play college golf.

Watch as Grace Pettijohn Signs Her National Letter of Intent with Dallas Baptist University

Grace has played on the Legacy girl's golf team since she was a freshman. She was Legacy's first golfer to be awarded as a TAPPS 4A individual state champion in 2016, which helped propel the Legacy girl's team to a third consecutive state championship. She was awarded Outstanding Player of the Year that same season and Academic All American in 2017.

Dallas Baptist University is ranked the number one Division 2 Golf program in the nation and has awarded Grace a full scholarship. When asked, “Why DBU?” Grace's response is that golf is her mission field–not her mission, but her mission field.

Grace is a highly skilled golfer, as her awards give evidence. But looking beyond the tee boxes, beyond the fairways, beyond the greens, she is a wonderful example of a Legacy student athlete.”
–Cole Johnson, Legacy Athletics Director

In addition to signing her National Letter of Intent, Grace also presented a check with the money she has raised through golf to KLife, a Christian ministry of discipleship and fellowship for youth and their families.

Legacy is proud of Grace's accomplishments and testimony. We look forward to following her golf career.
