Legacy Christian Academy is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Lynn Dupree as Senior Director of Athletics and Activities.

Wrapping up his fourth year as Assistant Principal of the Upper School, Mr. Dupree has served Christian schools for over 30 years in a variety of leadership roles including athletic administration. His appointment to this role will allow him to contribute his vast experience and executive strengths to build upon a tradition of excellence in LCA athletics and prepare the school to meet the competitive challenges it faces in the future.

Mr. Dupree has extensive experience in athletics at four different Christian high schools. He has led his programs to over 20 State Championships, had over 100 athletes receive scholarships to play at the collegiate level, with several moving to the professional level, built extensive athletic facilities, and developed successful Booster Club programs. Over the last four years, Mr. Dupree has coordinated mission trips and activities for our Upper School and will continue to provide leadership for off-campus activities in the future.

“Legacy Christian Academy is a top-tier private Christian school that has a rich history. I am blessed to have been able to serve our community, families, and students as the Assistant Principal in the Upper School for the past four years. I am looking forward to working with our athletic coaches and administrators to take our athletic program to the next level.” — Lynn Dupree

Mr. Dupree received his Bachelor of Science degree from East Central University in Oklahoma and his Masters in Education Administration from Houston Baptist University. He is also a certified Master Athletic Administrator by the NIAAA. He served as the Executive Director of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) and on the Executive Committee for the Georgia High School Athletic Association (GHSAA).

Immediate opportunities Mr. Dupree will address include: updating and expanding aging athletic facilities, developing sports information services, and implementing a Booster Club among others. Coach Cole Johnson will continue to serve as Director of Athletics, as well as serving as the Varsity Boys Basketball head coach.

“Mr. Dupree has served our Upper School families with distinction over the last four years as Assistant Principal. He truly cares about students and staff while serving them faithfully. I know he will provide that same servant leadership in the athletics program. He will lead our staff and coaches into the next twenty years as we strive to honor our Savior with our best.” — Kevin Mosley, Upper School Principal
