Legacy Athletics is excited to announce the addition of Girls Varsity Basketball Coach, Lynn Meger to the coaching staff.
Coach Meger comes to Legacy after 30-plus years of teaching and coaching in Plano ISD where she led the Plano Senior High Basketball team to 497 wins, 7 district titles, and 18 state playoff runs. She was named District Coach of the Year in 1994, 1997, and again in 2000 after her team finished the season as the 5A State Champion Runner-Up. She was selected as Collin County Female Educator of the Year in 1995 and was inducted into the Plano ISD Athletic Hall of Honor in 2018.
A love of coaching and educating runs deep in the Meger Family. Lynn has been married for 34 years to her husband, Dave, who also coached and taught in Plano ISD for 38 years. Their son Cole currently teaches in Plano ISD. Their other son Carson teaches and coaches football at Plano Senior High; his wife Katie also teaches in Plano ISD. Lynn and Dave are blessed with 3 grandchildren: Lucy (4), Griffin (2), and Layla (1). They attend Preston Trail Community in Frisco.

My wife Emy and I both served as coaches within her program in Plano ISD early in our education careers and gleaned much. I have seen, experienced, and benefitted from watching her model Christ-centered coaching. She will be an amazing addition to our girls basketball program, our athletics, as well as our school and community. I am eager to begin serving with her.”
