Spanish Immersion is coming to Legacy
We will host an informational session for the launch of our Spanish Immersion Program next Wednesday, December 12 at 8:15 am and 7:00 pm in the Upper School Learning Commons. If you are interested in learning more about this innovative program, please plan to attend and invite guests who may be interested.
Strategic Plan Informational Sessions
By now, you should have received and hopefully have read a copy of Legacy’s new strategic plan, entitled “Soaring Higher.” If you want to learn more about the future direction of our school, please plan to attend one of six informational sessions on the following dates:
Division-specific updates will be provided at each session. US Parents will be updated on the Professional Schools Program, and Middle School parents will be updated on LCA You. We have divided the informational sessions by division so that we can host a smaller group of parents and offer multiple options for attendance. However, you are welcome to attend any of these sessions regardless of the designated grade levels.
One step closer to dual accreditation through SAIS & AdvancED
Legacy Christian Academy is thrilled to report that we received a positive accreditation report from the five educators who visited our campus in November as the final step in our pursuit of dual accreditation from the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and AdvancED, formerly Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The five-member peer review team came from the following schools: Randolph School of Huntsville, AL; Porter-Gaud School of Charleston, SC; Kings Ridge Christian School of Alpharetta, GA, The Lovett School of Atlanta, GA, and Durham Academy of Durham, NC. During their three-day visit, these five educators observed the school in action, reviewed documents, and curriculum, and interviewed parents, students, and teachers. They summarized their findings in a report to be submitted to the SAIS Accreditation Committee, which will ultimately grant accreditation.
