Our Legacy Service Organization does amazing things for the DFW community year round, but especially around holidays. The month of December provides several opportunities for the Legacy student body to give back to those less fortunate. This year we were thrilled to have so many service projects that allowed us to do so! This season, LSO not only participated in service projects, but introduced new ones. Check out the picture below to see the exciting things LSO took part in this past December!

DOLLAR DRIVE- December 8th: Ten Legacy high schoolers delivered presents to kids at the Buckner Hope Center in Oak Cliff. These presents were purchased with money raised from LSO's Dollar Drive when Upper School students generously donated $517 to support these underprivileged kids.

BUCKNER BLANKETS- December 16th: With the help of the PTF, all lower school and Pre K classes made blankets for the kids at Buckner. They were delivered to thankful smiles. The third grade even made Christmas cards for their Buckner friends.

ANGEL TREE- December 16th: Forty “Angels” were adopted by Legacy students and their families from the Salvation Army Angel Tree in the Upper School office. Bags overflowing with gifts for these needy kids were delivered locally. We're proud of Skylar White {11th grade} for taking initiative and coordinating the effort.

SOUP KITCHEN- December 30th: Twenty Upper School students and their families served lunch to over 70 homeless people in south Dallas.

Watching the Buckner kids open the Christmas presents we purchased for them through our dollar drive was such a cool experience. We love being able to provide kids with things they wouldn't have had otherwise.”
-Stated by Sydney Cameron, LSO President, when asked what was the most heart warming part of December.
