Varsity Girl's Soccer Coach Caroline Williams is ready and excited for her inaugural season with the Lady Eagles. The girls on the soccer team are incredible and truly put their effort into everything. They make the environment on the soccer team one that everyone looks forward to coming to!

Special thanks to Legacy parent Marcy York for her soccer photos!

We played our first away game on Tuesday and came away victorious, winning 9-1. We played our first two home games last week and, unfortunately, lost both of them. Every game provides learning opportunities for the girls to come together and it is great to see the team really starting to click play more cohesively. They are really bonding on and off the field and you can see it in the way they play. They continually play for the girl next to them.

We have a big game on Thursday. It’s an away game against Grace Community school in Tyler, TX. We are excited to gear up for this season and I look forward to seeing the girls grow both together and as individual players over the course of the year. We are on the track to be an incredible team. It’ll be a fun ride!!

It is the start of an exciting Lady Eagles Soccer season. This year we are emerging as a young team and Legacy has been blessed with a great new coach that will develop and promote girls’ soccer in years to come. She has been a great asset to our team. This is a unique time when we have such a young team, but that will continue to develop and grow over time. On the field we will represent Legacy at it's highest and hope to continue our success. One struggle we have is the loss of many wonderful seniors last year. We are depending on our underclassmen to step up and fill those shoes. We hope to see you all at a home game this season. Go Eagles!!!

This season I’m looking forward to playing in the tournament in Tyler in December. It is a fun way for all of us to bond and will just be a fun experience in general. I’m also looking forward to playing all the new schools in our new district. Our new coach is great and teaching us new ways to look at the game. She has us working hard and going all out in every practice. Last year we lost a lot of great players who made an impact on our team. This year I think it will be challenging to fill the gaps left by those who graduated. I feel that once those gaps are filled we will be able to gel better as a team.
