Every year we ask our 9th-12th graders to make submissions to design their class float for Homecoming. The time has come to put your thinking caps on and get designing. Entries are due by next Thursday, September 27th. We can't wait to see your great ideas put to work. Guidelines for this year's design contest are below…
2018 Homecoming Pomp Board Design Guidelines
- The theme must follow Legacy Green & Gold Spirit/LCA Homecoming Spirit.
- The overall color scheme must be Green, Gold, Black, and White. You may have small amounts of other colors but they must not dominate the Legacy color scheme.
- Deadline for all entries is Thursday, September 27th.
- If your design wins, you are responsible for selecting a team of up to 12 people and ensuring the entire board is completely pomped and ready for display by Thursday, October 18 at 5 PM.
- Designs should consist of bold colors and solid shapes, like logo graphics on a sign.
- Follow elements and principles of art.
- If you know Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or another image editing or layout program (NOT MS Word), please create your design in one of those programs rather than on paper or cardstock.
- If doing your design on paper or cardstock, markers or poster paint are recommended. No wimpy pale colored pencil or graphite-only drawings!
- The design must be square (same measurements on all 4 sides) and at least 8”x8”.
