2023 Eagle Angel Program Impact:
The LCA community provided:
- 25 community members with an entire Christmas (items requested included items such as underwear to $100 wish list items)
- 18 stockings provided to LCA students
- 3 gift baskets for families going through hard time which included 10 community members
- 26 of the recipients and their LCA faculty/staff members
Some beautiful stories:
- An Upper School student donated $200 from her paycheck.
- 3 friends who are juniors chose a 14-year-old girl stocking to adopt themselves
- Alum student who was a recipient last year adopted 4 angels this year
- A preK 3 class adopted a stocking for a 4-year-old girl – kids in the class brought items to stuff the stocking
- Family who received an Eagle Angel basket due to death in family adopted 2 angels this year

- “As a true believer, I always believe that God can communicate in so many ways and He can appear to you when you least expect Him. Last week when I was busy with my job as usual, I heard one of my colleagues knock on the door with two huge bags full of gifts and she said “these bags are for you and your kids”! The first words that came out of my mouth were Thank you, God. I was not expecting anyone to remember us this Christmas but God touched someone’s heart and thought of my kids and I during this precious time. When we got home that day and opened the bags, we realized that God had blessed us with exactly what we needed! I could see the joy in my kids’ faces! As always when my kids are happy…. I am happy and God knows exactly how to make that happen through the amazing people he has placed in our lives. I cannot count how many times God has touched our lives through the amazing Legacy Christian Academy community. My kids and I are forever grateful and we don’t take this for granted. - “To our amazing Eagle Angel Donors…there have only been a handful of times in my life that I can say I was truly speechless. This afternoon when I received the bag of gifts donated by you all no words could be found, but the tears of gratitude….oh my goodness did they FLOW! My heart STILL cannot fully grasp the fact that people would be so willing to meet not only needs, but also wants and desires, for my children and me this Christmas. We have walked some pretty deep valleys over the past year and a half, but through those times God has always shown Himself faithful. And I have to say, He has used the beautiful community at LCA to be His hands and feet time and time again. THANK YOU for lifting financial burdens off of this single mama. - “Receiving the notification that our LCA family wanted to bless our family this Christmas moved me to tears instantly. The last year brought an unexpected chapter to our family’s story, and our kids have definitely felt the shift as we’ve needed to pass on a lot lately to make all necessary bills. When the kids saw me unpacking such a stunning collection of Christmas gifts and placing them under the tree, there was the most beautiful mix of surprise and joy in their eyes. In their excitement, I got the biggest bear hug halfway through the unpacking! Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus and showing such love in this way. Every single person who selected something off a family’s list, helped wrap, or helped with coordination made the most incredible impact on LCA families like ours, and thank you will never be enough to express our deep gratitude.”
As we enter a season of thanksgiving and celebration, many of us are likely considering how we can serve as the hands and feet of Christ and bless others. There is a great opportunity to bless the LCA community through our Eagle Angels program. All recipients are LCA families that qualify through our Indexed Tuition program and have demonstrated significant needs.
Our Eagle Angels program provides support in the following ways:
–Full Christmas: Families with high financial needs that otherwise will not have a Christmas are included in this group. These families have submitted a wish list that includes both needs and wishes. You will see items ranging from household items such as a toaster to a coat for a young student to a wish for something a typical teenager would want such as trendy slippers.
–Stockings: Families with demonstrated needs are included on the stockings list. They were selected in hopes of providing each child in the family with a wonderfully stocked stocking.
–Gift Baskets: Gift baskets are opportunities to bless those in our community going through challenges such as sickness, death, job loss, and more. This is an opportunity to show these LCA families that they are loved and prayed for.
To participate, simply click here to sign up for items you’d like to contribute. Angels will also be located on trees in each reception lobby. If you select an angel from the tree, please “check out” the gift via the sign-up genius QR code provided on the angel tag. Gifts can be dropped off at any of our campuses in a box provided. UNWRAPPED gifts with an Angel Number attached can be dropped off by DECEMBER 4th.

When we were told we had to leave our home, I was devastated and fearful of how I would raise my children in North Dallas. I started praying like never before – not only praying but truly trusting God! And, I never could have imagined angels like those at LCA would just show up and help us! I truly can’t put how I feel into words but it is like God has taken us from very rock bottom and we’re sitting on his shoulders looking at ALL his goodness! My prayer is someday my children will stand and tell their story and testify of the goodness of God and help someone else who may be where we are today.
