With over two decades of coaching experience, Doug Hix has built a legacy of excellence, leadership, and transformation in the game of football. Since 1999, he has been a relentless force on the sidelines, shaping champions and inspiring athletes to reach their full potential. As an assistant coach in Southern California at Carlsbad High School, Westview High School, La Costa Canyon, and Santa Fe Christian, he played a pivotal role in three championship-winning programs. Now in his 10th year as a head coach—and his ninth season in Texas—Hix has established a reputation for building high-performing teams. Under his leadership, his teams have earned seven playoff appearances, two semifinal runs, and a championship victory. His ability to cultivate a winning culture, develop elite competitors, and inspire young athletes has made him a respected leader in high school football. An additional aspect of Coach Hix’s success on the football field is his ability to coach elite performance at the highest level. As one of Southern California’s first pioneers in NFL Combine training, he became the leader in combine performance training throughout the region. Recognized by ESPN as the "West Coast Training Guru," he trained and mentored hundreds of elite athletes—including two Heisman Trophy winners, Olympians, NBA first-round draft picks, and over 20 first- and second-round NFL draft selections. His expertise also extended to the collegiate level, where he was entrusted to lead performance training for the SMU Men’s Basketball team under Head Coach Matt Doherty and Hall of Fame Coach Larry Brown. At his core, Coach Hix is driven by a higher purpose: to inspire, equip, and empower athletes not just to compete, but to develop the mindset of a true winner—one who embraces challenges, outworks the competition, and refuses to settle for anything less than their best. His mission is clear: "I exist to inspire, train, and equip God’s greatest creation—people—to compete, win, and lead, gaining favor in the sight of God and man." With passion, faith, and an unshakable belief in a greater purpose and the intentional design of each athlete, Coach Hix continues to shape champions!

Seneca Wallace is in his second season as Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at Legacy Christian Academy. A standout quarterback at Iowa State University, Wallace was a two-time First-Team All-Big 12 selection and finished his career as the school’s all-time leader in total offense and passing yards. He was selected in the fourth round of the NFL Draft and played 10 seasons in the NFL, most notably with the Seattle Seahawks, while also spending time with the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers, and New Orleans Saints. Following his playing career, Wallace transitioned into coaching and quarterback development, launching a private QB training program and coaching at Episcopal School of Dallas (ESD), John Paul II High School, and Rock Hill. He also gained professional coaching experience with the St. Louis Battlehawks (UFL) and was selected for the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship with the Dallas Cowboys. In his first season as Offensive Coordinator at LCA, Wallace played a critical role in leading the Eagles to the state semifinals, orchestrating a strong, balanced offensive attack highlighted by exceptional quarterback play. He brings elite experience and a developmental mindset to the LCA offense, emphasizing execution, leadership, and quarterback excellence.

Jake Mackey is the Defensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator for the Legacy Christian Academy Eagles. The 2025 season will be his 8th year coaching in Texas, having stops at Richardson ISD and Frisco ISD. In his first year as Defensive Coordinator at LCA, his defense improved from allowing 30 points a game to allowing 12 points a game, producing 3 All-State defensive players, and helping the Eagles win a district championship. He has coached Wide Receivers, Defensive Backs, Linebackers, and all Special Teams. As a coach, he has developed All-District and All-State players in public and private schools and has helped players receive scholarship offers from Divisions 1, 2, and 3. He has had former athletes go to schools in the SEC, Big 10, AAC, and Big 12. Coach Mackey is dedicated to building up student-athletes into the best version of themselves and strives to help nurture and deepen their relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Kahlil McKenzie is the Director of Sports Performance and College Athletics Recruiting at Legacy Christian Academy, bringing a wealth of experience from the highest levels of football. A former #1-rated high school player and three-year defensive lineman at the University of Tennessee, Kahlil went on to play five seasons in the NFL and XFL, showcasing his versatility by excelling on both offensive and defensive lines with the Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, and Cincinnati Bengals. Kahlil’s ability to adapt and perform under pressure is a hallmark of his career, with a seamless transition between positions that extended his playing days beyond the league average. This experience has shaped him into a detail-oriented leader with a deep commitment to developing young athletes, helping them reach their full potential both on the field and in life. In addition to his role at Legacy Christian Academy, Kahlil is the founder of All40ne Lineman Training, where he coaches youth, collegiate, and professional linemen. Through his combined expertise in sports performance, recruiting, and leadership, Kahlil is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of athletes, equipping them with the skills, mindset, and resilience needed to succeed at every level.

The 2025 season marks Justin Forsett’s first year with Legacy Christian Academy football, where he serves as the Running Backs Coach. Forsett enjoyed a standout collegiate career at the University of California, Berkeley, finishing as one of the most productive running backs in program history. He went on to play nine seasons in the NFL, spending time with the Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, and Detroit Lions. Forsett earned Pro Bowl honors in 2014 with the Ravens after rushing for over 1,200 yards and became widely respected for his vision, toughness, and consistency. Following his playing career, Forsett transitioned into coaching and player development, bringing a professional approach to training running backs with an emphasis on ball security, vision, pass protection, and physicality. His experience in multiple NFL systems provides valuable insight into modern offensive run schemes and player preparation. In his first season at LCA, Forsett brings elite professional experience and a championship mindset to the Eagles’ running back room, focusing on discipline, effort, and complete player development on and off the field.

Manny Arceneaux has built an extraordinary football career, from Alexandria, Louisiana, to the CFL and NFL. After earning a Psychology degree from Alcorn State University, he became a standout receiver for the BC Lions, earning CFL All-Decade Team honors (2010–2019) and ranking 3rd all-time in receiving. His success led to an NFL opportunity with the Minnesota Vikings before returning to the CFL, where he continued to excel with teams like the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Edmonton Elks. Additionally he was honored with the 2022 CFL Tom Pate Award and recognized among the Top 20 All-Time CFL players. Now, as the Wide Receivers Coach at Legacy Christian Academy, Manny is dedicated to youth development, teaching precision route running, speed, football IQ, and elite skills to the next generation. A certified Speed & Agility Coach (CSAC) and USA Weightlifting (USAW) coach, he is committed to athlete performance and mentorship through his training company MAD Performance.

With 23 years of coaching experience, Coach Barrett Hardage is a cornerstone of the Legacy Christian Academy football program, shaping young men into champions both on and off the field. Specializing in linebackers and defensive line, he has coached and mentored numerous athletes who have earned all-state honors and continued their careers at the collegiate level. His expertise, passion, and leadership have made a lasting impact on LCA’s football culture. Beyond the X’s and O’s, Coach Hardage is most passionate about guiding young men in their faith. He believes true success is measured by the character and integrity of his players, and he instills a deep commitment to biblical leadership in every athlete he coaches. His influence extends beyond the gridiron as a teacher in LCA’s Bible department, where he has developed transformational courses to strengthen students’ understanding of God’s Word. As the Head Track Coach, Coach Hardage continues to develop well-rounded student-athletes, pushing them to achieve excellence in all areas of life. His commitment to discipline, hard work, and faith-driven leadership inspires those under his guidance.
