My Family

My family includes my husband, Bryan, a former US Marine, our oldest, Callie, who is at UT Austin (Hook 'em Horns!), Ella and Beau, who are Legacy Eagles. We also like dogs and have a beloved Husky and Great Dane. I grew up in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and have a passion for God's creation of diversity in his people. This passion began as I recognized how much we learn about God when we learn about differences he created. I hope to always be surrounded by these differences as it is a great view of what heaven will look like.

Why do you choose to work at Legacy?

I wanted to work at a school that was training students well for the world beyond secondary school. After high school, many students struggle with being “in the world but not of the world”. With this, I love working with students on how to better understand, learn and assess areas of society from a Biblical worldview. While living in “Babylon”, it is important to equip students with a solid foundation of truth.

What is your favorite scripture? Why?

“Romans 8:38-39: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This verse reminds me that no matter where I am, no matter what I do, no matter the circumstances around me, I will never be separated from the love of God which transcends all worldly powers.
