Dear Legacy Families:

The halls of Legacy are once again full of life and excitement. It is a joy to see new students, new teachers, a new season of competition, new subjects to explore, and new relationships forming within our community. Each fall brings a fresh beginning, and I am grateful for the new year God has placed before us in this journey of faith.

We begin this year with 1435 students which is 97% of capacity. Included are 197 students who are new to Legacy this year. Let’s make a concerted effort to reach out and welcome them to our community.

The summer months are busy at LCA, even when students are away, as our facilities team and administration prepare to receive our students and families. There are some notable accomplishments to highlight, many of which are due to your generosity to our Annual Fund:

  1. Campus Enhancements:
    1. Middle school refresh with new wallpaper and bathroom updates.
    2. South Campus received a new sound system, AV, and lighting upgrades in the cafetorium for programs and performances.
    3. Kitchen upgrades on the South Campus including a significant increase in firepower, food volume, and executable menu items. (This update will be finalized over the coming weeks)
    4. Drainage and fence improvements at the ELC playground.
    5. New monument sign on Legacy Drive to welcome guests.
  2. Athletics: New batting and softball cages, a refreshed Press Box, and LED lights at Comstock Field.
  3. Security: Expanded camera coverage, outdoor alert and PA system, middle school intercom system, and expanded door badge coverage at the ELC.
  4. Academics: Middle school science investments including new microscopes, expanded library collections for both English and Spanish, Legacy Learning Center (LLC) classroom improvements to provide more quiet spaces, and new computers for the LLC.
  5. Fine Arts: New band equipment, new art display cabinets and panels.
  6. New car line procedures: Many have commented on a big improvement here. There are still some tweaks to provide additional improvements as we seek to be excellent in efficiency and safety. Help us by NOT arriving early and by following the car line map instructions. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

I want to commend our principals, senior directors and executive team who have worked diligently to have us ready for a great school start. Please take time to express your appreciation for their excellent investment into our campus, staff and children. We are blessed with a strong team and I am grateful to labor alongside them.

As we now step into Legacy Christian Academy’s 26th year, we pause to honor the past. Our school was built through years of sacrificial giving, faithful prayer, and God’s provision. We stand today on a firm foundation laid by those who came before us, and we rejoice in all the Lord has done.

At the same time, we eagerly look to the future, trusting God’s promise in Isaiah 43:19 (ESV): “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?” With confidence in His Word, we eagerly anticipate the “new thing” God wants to do in our hearts. We pray God continues to bless Legacy as we seek to impact students, boldly proclaim Christ, and raise up the next generation of leaders grounded in truth.

As we remain steadfast to our mission and continue to build on the firm foundation of Christ, I look forward to seeing what our God, who never changes, will do new in our hearts this year.

Same God. New Thing.
Isaiah 43:19
