At the 2022 TAPPS 5A State Championship, he shot a 36-hole total of 135, 9-under par, which established a school scoring record for a 36-hole event. His 4th place finish at the State Championship resulted in his being named All-State. Minas managed to add his already impressive golf resume, establishing another school record as he shot an average of 71.33.

Legacy's Head Golf Coach Dwayne Hamilton is among Minas's biggest fans.

“Minas is the finest golfer our program has produced. Though his golfing accomplishments are clearly amazing, the most impressive thing about him is his personal character. He's an incredibly gifted athlete and a really good student, but he is also the most humble and hard-working high school athlete with whom I've been associated,” Coach Hamilton said.

Minas is the first golfer from Legacy Christian Academy to earn a golf scholarship at a Division 1 NCAA university. In the fall, Minas will attend Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.
