My Family

I was born and raised in Jenks, Oklahoma, and I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Jeff, for 33 years. After graduating from Jenks High School we attended Oklahoma State University together. We have two children – Coleman is 28 and Hannah is 21. They are both proud OSU alumni as well! I have been teaching for 31 years, and my career has been both a blessing and a work of heart. My favorite things are my family, the Bible, flower gardening, traveling, walking and football – especially my OSU Cowboys. I'm also completely in love with my 10 year old Cocker Spaniel, Baxter.

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

I love working in a Christ-centered school surrounded by fellow teachers, administrators, students and families who love God. I am overwhelmed on a daily basis by the love and kindness I receive from the wonderful LCA family. I can honestly say that I am surrounded by people who love God and love others.

What is your favorite scripture? Why?

Galatians 5:22-23, “But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” It is my favorite verse, because it is a perfect description of the traits Jesus modeled for us. These verses teach me how to love others.
