In Jeremiah 17:7-8, God’s Word compares a person who trusts in the Lord to a thriving tree that sends out roots in search of water so the tree can thrive in the heat and elements. What a picturesque metaphor for LCA as it prepares students to thrive in today’s challenging culture. We must be intentional about going deep in our search for God’s truth seeking the Living Water of the Holy Spirit through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Only then will our students thrive in producing fruits of the Spirit despite the heat and strong winds of a culture hostile to the things of God.
