My Family

I grew up in North Texas, but moved to central Illinois when I got married to my husband, David. After 15 years of dealing with harsh winters, we made our way to McKinney! We have four children: Isaiah 19 (freshman at Texas A&M – “Gig 'em”), Owen 16, and twins Norah & Levi 13. We have a sweet dog named Bella. I enjoy organizing, crafting, naps, photography and time with family & friends.

What do you love most about teaching, coaching, or working at LCA?

The camaraderie among staff who are working together toward a common goal is what drew me to LCA. Co-workers that you know love you and pray for you, but can also make you laugh are a gift!

Where do you attend church, and how are you involved?

My family and I are active members at Citizen's Church in Plano, TX. All 6 of us serve in the children's ministry (where I get to see some of my little LCA students occasionally!). Allowing parents to have a focused time for undistracted worship and hearing from God's Word, while their little ones are loved on, cared for, prayed over, and pointed to Jesus! It's a blessing to walk along our church family in this way!

What are you passionate about? What brings you joy?

I love to find beauty in the everyday! In my home, in my kid's laughs, in God's creation all around me, in the funny things a student says, and even in the hard ways God is refining me and making me more like Him. I enjoy taking pictures (much to my families dismay!) and looking at old photos. They're like markers in time or an “Ebenezer”, reminding me of God's faithfulness and goodness throughout the years!
